If you are a person passionate about the world of firefighters, here is where your passion can contribute.

We work under 3 components that will stimulate you :

Operations

You will be called upon to respond to interventions where you will have to provide firefighters with preventive and rehabilitation care.

History

Through its range of artifacts, the museum allows you to introduce citizens to the past of the SIM, direct them towards prevention and participate in the restoration of antique vehicles.

Socio-community

You will have the chance to participate in socio-community activities where you can educate citizens on various topics.

If you are interested and possess the following attributes:

  • Have a team spirit
  • Like to learn or have a specific skill to share with the group
  • Want to contribute to the advancement of our organization
  • Are available, reliable, resourceful and willing to step out of your comfort zone
  • Have first aid training.
  • Be 18 or older*
  • Have a valid class 5, 4A, 3, 2 or 1* driver’s license
  • Live in the Metropolitan Community of Montreal*
  • Own a car*
  • Be a Canadian citizen*

* These attributes are assets that may be mandatory depending on your application request. Please refer to management for further information.

    1. Participate in antique vehicle restoration activities;
    2. Report to the museum for housekeeping, training and other duties;
    3. Offer availability on Sundays for museum visits;

    AND OR
    2. Offer availability for tasks relating to the maintenance of the museum and its artifacts

    Consent

    Would you agree to us carrying out an investigation about you or only upon request from the management of the Montreal Fire Brigade to provide a certificate of non-search in the National Judicial File of Canada?

    I authorize the Montreal Firefighters Auxiliary to use the videos, portrait or visually photographed image of my person for specific purposes of use and publication in printed or electronic documents, books, leaflets, corporate documents, promotional tools , magazines, newsletters, website, Facebook page and other documents of the same nature, from year to year, in a professional setting.

    If you are accepted as a member of the Montreal Firefighters Auxiliary, you are always available for voluntary service, without salary or other remuneration, in the event of a call, to help the Montreal Firefighters Auxiliary and the Montreal Fire Department.
